Twice a day... or as much as possible

The beloved 2012 so far has been pretty much my favorite year in terms of playing music. So far I've played so many shows I've never did before. And if everything goes according to plan until the end of the year I'll have played hell lotta more. One of the coolest things I was able to do was play more than one show a day (either with different or the same projects/bands). It happened twice so far, it will happen once again tomorrow 26/06. It's tiring, the logistics suck major crap but all of your day/night is filled with music and it creates a quite specific layer of a subreality which doesn't allow you to give a damn about anything else happening in the whole world. I really hope in the future I'll be able to book a tour which will involve playing two shows each day. I'm not sure though it is possible to play more than two gigs, but boy I am so willing to give it a try.

In case you are wondering what and when happens tomorrow. Below are two posters w/ event links. At 18:00 w/ Mytrip I'll take part in a tripple improvisation collab w/ my mates from Teeth Of Divine (ritual noise) & |14| (experimental / noise). Our music will be a part of a performance called 'The Bread of Life'. I have no idea what the outcome will be but I'm sure it will be fun. This will happen at Theatre Laboratory Sfumato.

After that at 20:30 we're playing in Shambala Bar, who have been our favorite place for ambient / noise gigs for the last year and something. The bar is kinda in trouble now and they are closing for August but hopefully besides a bye-bye party we'll make a homecoming one. The line up is the same as in Sfumato but Space Ghost will also be joining the party.

So see some of you there, and for the rest of us who are playing music - go and play more. It's rad.

Six months later

In the beginning of January 2012 we (Expectations) made an awesome trip which not only resulted in the recording of our debut album (that story) but proved to be the beginning of an awesome friendship and collaboration with our hosts @ Next Dog Studio. So it's pretty much not a surprise we decided to return. And here we are in June 1st, less than half an year since we recorded our album and less than three months since we released it, recording four new tracks to be released in September on a vinyl.

From Sofia to Next Dog is a road we already know. Four hours far from Sofia and we reach the boundaries of our 'it's complicated to be described' country. Around two hours in the car and we're back in the belly of the dog. This time it's warm outside and the next few days could have been so much awesome if we didn't have to record four tracks in less than 24 hours studio time. However the pizzas kept coming and it was pretty clear Next Dog is the best place in the freaking universe. I certainly won't go any further into details. If you wanna take a glimpse of what was it like do it below. Eight minutes is way too much time to be spent with our annoying characters and probably the king of chill Mihai who made this video is definitely a masochist for spending so much time with/for us.

And the result it is already pretty much done but as we are quite evil people we'll let you hear it in its entirety somewhere around the end of August when our two-week European tour will be just around the corner. For now you can check our previous collab w/ Mr. Marius Costache, we've just recorded new music but this album is still hot. We're just maniacs and crap.
